In terms of format, there are many examples for you to follow. If you are doing the term project individually, then you are expected to have a minimum of 10 pages, double-spaced, Times Roman, 12-point font, with 1-inch margins (as defined in the APA guidelines documents), not counting cover page, table of contents, references, figures and tables (if any), etc. All tables and figures must be original, you cannot simply copy the items and paste them into your term paper. If you are doing to do the project as a group, the minimum contribution per group member is 5 pages, not counting the items above. In all cases, each member must provide at least 2 peer-reviewed references that are formally cited in the text (this is a good use of the literature reviews that you are doing for the course. In all cases, there are required PP slides (with either lecture or voice notes) that are due on the same term paper. I have included many examples of each, regardless if they match one-for-one or not. The due dates for a topic (usually due the 9th week) and a detail one-page outline is due the 11th week, which explains the range in dates. Please remember, the format for the term paper is basically the same as all the journal articles that you have reviewed for the course. A term paper is more of a creative project, not so much a detailed formal recipe. As explained under the Course Assignment s folder, I prefer that you do your supply chain paper on a local company or industry. You can get most of the information either from asking in person or visiting their web-based materials. I do not want a repeat of basic information from the textbook, rather you will be become the expert on the topic. Unlike the due dates for all other assignments in this class, I have some flexibility. I am more interested in a quality project.
The major headings should be:
TITLE
ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION TO THE PROBLEM
LITERATURE REVIEW OF BACKBROUND
CASE STUDY
Company Description
Supply Chain Operations
Supply Chain Problems
Supply Chain Solutions
MANAGERIAL IMPLICATIONS (should include a summary tables of pros and cons)
CONCLUSIONS
