Read the document “Wealth Gap Rise to Record Highs Between Whites, Blacks, and Hispanics”developed by the Pew Research Center. This report illustrates how poverty and wealthy disparities are stratified by race in America. Blacks and Hispanics have disproportionally lower median net worth’s than Whites, which leads to poorer and more vulnerable neighborhoods. Understanding how race and Community Economic Development are inextricably tied is an important tenet of this discipline.
