The Influence of Information Technology Education on Students’ Entrepreneurial Orientation.

Course Requirements:
Professional Paper: Each student is required to conduct original research in a selected area of
information assurance and submit a research paper that discusses the problem or research area
tutorially. The article should clearly explain current issues, elaborate on the relevance of the topic about current affairs,
and provide some indications of what will happen in the future. The paper’s
evaluation will consider the content, presentation, and quality of expression, inter alia. Papers are
expected to meet or exceed accepted graduate-level English and scholarship standards. Papers must
conform to the APA documentation style with minor modifications. To aid the student in succeeding, the
course provides the student with multiple checkpoints and opportunities to receive feedback from the
instructor and other students. The minimum length of the research paper is 15 pages of text material,
prepared using Microsoft Word 2007 or higher, and Times New Roman 12 font.
Research Proposal: Each student should submit, by September 12, 2018, a draft research proposal for
review. The revised research proposal is due on September 19, 2018.
Literature Review and Research Assumptions: A short paper (at least 8 pages) summarizing the
academic and professional literature most relevant to the student’s topic and making explicit the
student’s theoretical and conceptual assumptions.
Draft of Research Paper: Students are expected to discuss their interim results with the class and
accept/provide constructive criticism from/for other classmates in the course of paper preparation.
The literature review and first draft should culminate in the student being able to discuss a variety of
possible venues for publication or dissemination of the research findings.
Research Presentation: Each student will present his/her research findings and conclusions to the class using appropriate audio-visual and handout materials.
