In A Sand Co. Almanac Leopold lays out his conservation ethic (the Land ethic). Provide a critique of this book (i.e. did Leopold present an effective argument, what are the strengths and weaknesses, is it overly moralistic or heavy-handed? are his points sound and justified? Does he sufficiently explain his point of view and is it well organized? Does Leopold use enough/ too much detail? What examples which he provides worked, which didn’t? how could it be improved? Would or wouldn’t you recommend this to a friend- why/why not?
