A bibliography is a list of sources (books, journals, Web sites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic. Bibliographies are sometimes called “References” or “Works Cited” depending on the style format you are using. A bibliography usually just includes the bibliographic information (i.e., the author, title, publisher, etc.). An annotation is a summary and/or evaluation. Therefore, an annotated bibliography includes a summary and/or evaluation of each of the sources. Depending on your project or the assignment, your annotations may do one or more of the following. You will complete 3 annotated bibliographies: one for each chapter- 5, 6, and 7 of the course text Communication Skills for the Health Care Professional: Concepts, Practice, and Evidence. Your completed assignment will consist of 3 annotated bibliographies, one for each of the identified chapters. Your annotated bibliographies should include:
One cover page/title page for the entire assignment (pg 1)
One paragraph summary of each chapter and a second paragraph (1 to 3 sentences) on how you may use or apply the information you learned within the chapter (pgs 2-4) as an occupational therapist.
Reference page with citation for each chapter in APA format (pg 5)
