Cultural travel itinerary

This assignment gives you an opportunity to discover German on your own. Guided by topics
covered in class, your task is to design a trip to Germany where you visit areas of historical and
cultural interest (e.g. cities, museums, places in nature, historical sites, etc.) that you think would
be both enjoyable and educational.
You are free “to go” anywhere, but I do want you to draw on the topics covered in class under
TM1 or TM2 (e.g from the Germanic tribes and Charlemagne through the Reformation).
What goes into your Cultural Travel Itinerary?
1. Give your Tour a name
2. Identify (5) five places you would include in your itinerary, and . . .
3. Include the name and website URL of these places you have on your itinerary
4. For each place you plan to visit, write 3-4 sentences as to why you wish to go there
(i.e. what do you hope to see, explore, discover, learn). DO NOT CUT AND PASTE.
5. Make your itinerary look attractive and inviting! (include great pictures! but make sure
the images are small in file size)
6. You may create your Cultural Travel Itinerary as a PowerPoint, a WordPress blog or as a
website.
7. Upload your Cultural Travel
How will your Cultural Travel Itinerary be graded?
My experience is that everyone has an opportunity to create an “excellent” (A) presentation!
However, these issues will result in a good (B) presentation:
– if you just cut and paste language from the websites you include and don’t use your own
words to explain what do you hope to see, explore, discover, learn, etc.
– if your presentation is filled with typos
– if your presentation looks not at all attractive or enticing
