1. Respond to 2 questions. Your responses need to be substantial and thoughtful. You need to explain why, with reasoning or evidence/examples of your own.
1) Why is plagiarism detrimental to good argumentation (aside from the obvious harm of intellectual theft)?
2) Regardless of your opinion about the topic, which do you think makes the strongest argument? Why?

2. Respond to other student’s question in a meaningful and thoughtful. “What is exactly civility is or how should we define it? Do we have gone so far in plagiarism?”

3. Make a question of your own to other students.

A lot has been said about the decline of civility, and you’ve watched 3 videos on the subject, from different sources and different perspectives. In 3-4 paragraphs explore the following questions:

1. What is YOUR perspective about this issue? Do you think that there’s been a decline in civility in our society in recent years? If so, what do you think caused it? If you think there has NOT been a decline, why is there so much talk about it?

2. What is the role of media, and pop culture, in the discussion about, and the possible decline of, civility? Do you see changes in how tv shows, movies, songs, etc. reflect civility in our society? Do they reflect it, create it, or some combination of the two?

3. How can you relate the ideas about civility in the videos to the chapter about plagiarism in our textbook? Offer specific examples here.
