GMOs offer both tremendous hope to help with nutrition and disease (like Golden Rice http://www.goldenrice.org/) and we have been selecting for crop characteristics since humans organized agriculture. At the same time, modifying organisms can have unexpected and devastating consequences. For example, in South Florida, GMO mosquito (http://www.mosquitomagnet.com/articles/gmo-mosquitoes-pros-cons have been tested to control Zika virus

What is your position on genetically-modified foods? Construct your argument based on your personal ethical architecture? What is important to you in agreeing to support GMOs and would you use those products to feed yourself and your family?

Explain a passage from King Lear

For each scene you read within King Lear (with the exception of the really short ones), you will choose one passage. This passage, or quote, should be significant to the scene as well as the larger play. Write the passage and identify who is speaking and to whom. Explain the significance of the scene and how it impacts the overall story.

– Quote and who’s speaking to whom (5 points)
– Significance to the scene and the rest of the play (5 points)
– There are a total of 16 longer scenes @ 10 points per scene = 160 total points.
– The shorter scenes you are not responsible for are: Act I, sc. iii / Act I, sc. v / Act II, sc. iii / Act III, sc. i / Act III, sc. iii /
Act III, sc. v / Act IV, sc. iii / Act IV, sc. iv / Act IV, sc. v / Act V, sc. ii.

Notice, there are five points given for choosing the quote. Your understanding of the scene and the play will be clear based on the passage you choose. Try to choose a passage that is longer than one line but shorter than the whole speech. You will be able to preface your quote with some context in your explanation. Your entries should be emailed to your teacher. They will be assessed based on their completeness, accuracy and understanding of the play.

Here’s an example from Act I, sc. i:
Quote: “Fairest Cordelia, that art most rich, being poor;
Most choice, forsaken; and most loved, despised!”
Speaker: King of France to Cordelia
Explanation: After Lear disowns his youngest daughter, he asks her suitors if they still want her now that she is penniless. The King of France is confused and inquires what great offense has been committed. When he learns it’s only that she displeased the king with her words, he asks her other suitor, the Duke of Burgundy if he wants her. When he doesn’t, the King of France says the above quote. This relationship will be important later when French troops arrive to restore Lear to the throne. It also demonstrates the duality and juxtaposition that will be seen throughout the play.

Systematic review of two RCTs

The essay must contain 2000 words excluding tables and reference list.
Tables are needed to explain some of the contents of the systematic review.
The reference list must be a Harvard style. The two studies identified are RCTs which are uploaded and were found in Medline database. Reference to an appropriate methodology such as NICE or Cochrane must be stated in the paper when evidence is critically appraised.
I have uploaded a concrete guideline for the essay and the writer to follow as well as the formative review by the marker with his comments. I have uploaded the start of the essay so it might be easy to develop for the writer and see through my eyes the essay that I need to get. A systematic approach to appraisal of evidence against clearly defined criteria for judging the validity of evidence is expected. The rationale conclusions and decisions should be evident.
The outcome to focus on should be SVD or duration of labour but just one outcome to be focused on is allowed due to the limited extension of the essay. The search question is been modified since last formative review. I am flexible with the structure of this question if any change is needed as long as adjusts to the assignment criteria and PICO format. I have put a minimum of sources to be included but more could be included if it is needed.

PROJECT TWO
You are asked
To conduct a needs assessment to determine if your city’s after-school programs are
Currently meeting the needs of the families in your area. Using the steps of a needs
Assessment planning as a guide, describe how you would approach this needs assessment.
The project should explore the purpose of conducting a needs assessment including a
Description of the current situation/state of the city in the scenario (you can use
Information from your own city/town or or search for data regarding an city/town near
Your location), the desired situation/result of the city in the scenario (create a fictitious
Desired situation), and a clear statement of the need. After the need(s) is/are identified,
The type(s) of need (as defined in the text) should be identified and defined. There should
Be a discussion of the information/data that would be gathered about the city/community
When conducting a needs assessment. The community stakeholders should be identified
As well.
After the above information has been presented, four different approaches should be
Applied to the scenario. The student will design a needs assessment using:
1. Exclusively secondary data
2. An Impressionist Approach
3. Community Survey
4. A combination of secondary data, impressionist approach, and community survey
For each of the approaches, the data collection procedure should be discussed, estimates
Of the time and money required should be developed and discussed, and a thoroughly
Discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of the approach should be included.
The project should be 3 – 5 pages in length, supported by three scholarly sources cited

Case Scenario
You are managing an ED department in a busy medical center. Each year, you hire 5-10 new graduates to work in your area and provide a very robust orientation program including specialty training. One of your new graduate hires this year is a very bright BSN graduate with a background in journalism. About ten weeks after she starts, one of your senior nurses brings to your attention that she has started a blog to chronicle her experience as a new graduate in the ER titled Do This Stat: The Making of an ER Nurse. In this blog, she chronicles her learning journey, feelings about her colleagues and specifically discusses how ER physicians can be very abrupt and non-communicative creating communication issues. She has not included any specific patient situations but you are concerned about some of what you expressed in her writing. In order to prepare for you discussion with her – obtain a copy of your organization’s social media policy. If you are not working – pull a social media policy from the internet from another organization to guide your discussion.
Discussion Questions:
What specific guidance does your organization’s social media policy provide related to the case scenario example?
What issues would you want to discuss with this new graduate relative to what she posts in her blog and the slippery slop of social media?
What follow-up actions would you take after your discussion?

Load-bearing beams in the “great room” cracked and appeared to be steadily weakening. The patio did not drain properly. Pipes froze. Evans wanted the money promised for the job, but Dyer refused to pay. What are your thoughts and comments? Then on another page in at least 350 words or more answer: The statute of Frauds states that certain types of contracts must be in writing. This is discussed in detail in chapter 16. Review the chapter and consider the following questions Does the coverage of the Statute of Frauds make sense as it currently stands? Would it be better to expand the law and require that all contracts be in writing? or should the law be done away with altogether? please cite references.
