Know How to Effectively Research
Assignment Overview
This module is a hands-on exercise to master research in Trident’s Online Library (accessed at the top left of the TLC Portal home page), and on the Internet. You will also learn how to create a research paper using APA format, citation, and referencing.
Review required readings for Module 1 before starting this assignment. Published materials will provide guidance on referencing, formatting, and using the Trident Online Library.
SLP Assignment: Internet Privacy
The subject of Internet privacy is broad and controversial and is the epitome of modern-day debate. The assignment requires research and attribution and cannot be based on opinion or personal experience.
Here are some subject areas that you can research:
• Social media posts that lead to an employee being fired
• Companies secretly collecting and selling information about your online behaviors
• Using social media to identify protesters
• Censorship in the United States or overseas
• Minors using social media
• Crowdsourcing to identify suspects of a crime
• Loss of privacy when using free Wi-Fi
• Employers requiring job applicants and employees to turn over passwords to private social media accounts
Alternative topic ideas must be approved by your instructor by the end of Week 1. This allows enough time to complete the assignment by deadline.
The finished assignment will be 1 page long. The reason this is a 1-page paper is to ensure that you spend time and energy learning to research different types of sources, and have a finished product that reflects your voice that is properly formatted using APA. No quotations are permitted in this submission.
Goal: Provide an overview of the aspect of “Internet Privacy” you have selected.
Research Requirements: You must use all four types of resources below:
• The following book: Business Ethics: A Stakeholder and Issues Management Approach by Joseph Weiss, published in 2014, available in the EBSCO eBook Collection in the Trident Online Library.
• A scholarly journal article from Business Source Complete (EBSCO). (See module resources to identify this type of source.)
• A periodical article from ProQuest Central.
• A resource found through an internet search.
Analysis: In the Appendix of the paper, you will provide feedback on the resources you used.
• Weiss book: Explain how you found the book in Trident’s library. Assess the ease of use of the ebook.
• Business Source Complete (EBSCO): How did you know that the article was scholarly? What attributes told you this?
• ProQuest Central: How was this type of article different from the scholarly one? Explain the process you used with regard to search terms.
• Internet Source: How did you determine that the Web resource was appropriate for a graduate-level paper? Was the author or source legitimate? Explain.
SLP Assignment Expectations
Effective academic and research writing requires a third-person voice. This SLP will be written in the third person. Do not use any quotations. For more information see Differences Between First and Third Person. Since you are engaging in research, be sure to cite and reference the sources in APA format. Note: the Analysis in the Appendix may be written in the first person.
Use the attached APA-formatted template (ETH501 SLP1) to create your submission.
Your submission will include:
• Trident University International’s cover page
• A 1-page paper with APA citations (one-sentence introduction, body, one-sentence conclusion)
• The reference list in APA format
• Appendix explaining how research was done and how sources were chosen

The final portfolio project involves writing about a negotiations-related topic. The purpose of this project is to explore one of the topics in more depth that have been discussed in this course. This will allow you to apply the concepts learned in the course and also to demonstrate your understanding of key negotiation topics. For instance, you might decide to describe and analyze a particular real-life negotiation (Middle East peace negotiations, a major merger and acquisition negotiation, etc.) or research any topic of particular interest to you, such as cross-cultural negotiation styles, the importance and impact of nonverbal communication, gender differences, negotiation styles, etc. You will need to obtain approval of your project topic by the end of Module 4.

The final portfolio project should be 6-8 pages in length. This does not include the required cover page and reference page. A cover page, abstract, in-text citations, and a reference page are all required with your submission. In addition, you need to include a minimum of five scholarly sources. Assignment #1: Annotated Bibliography

Objective:  Assess sources for your research for your final presentation (for credibility, reliability, and relevance) and list references in proper APA format. That means the sources you use for this assignment should be directly related to the species that you chose in Forum 1 of the class.

Assignment Instructions:  An annotation is a summary and evaluation, and your annotated bibliography will include a summary and evaluation of some of the sources (or references) you will use for your presentation.

For this project, you will assess three (3) sources to include:

• A complete citation for each source (Written in APA reference list format)
• A summary of each source, and (4-6 sentences) What is the purpose of the source, review article, original research? What topics are covered? This section is generally 4-6 sentences that summarize the author’s main point.
• An evaluation of each source (4-6 sentences) After summarizing the article (or research paper or book), it is necessary to evaluate it and state where you found it – its source (e.g., journal, website, etc.). Briefly answer the following questions in 4-6 sentences: What is the format or type of source (e.g., peer-reviewed journal paper, website, book)? How reliable is the information in the article, and how credible is the source (e.g., website’s sponsoring organization, journal or book publisher) and the author(s)?

Write a summary of the article and submit it and a PDF of the article to the dropbox.

The paper reviews the inclusion of persons with disabilities in higher education settings and how this is viewed from a sociological perspective. However, there still exists some gaps in the literature concerning this topic, hence, the need to develop a clear study which identifies the gaps that exist and ways that they can be addressed. In this paper, it has been discussed the different ways through which the inclusion of a person with a disability can be understood from the sociological perspectives. Through critical and comparative analysis, the different perspectives and approaches that have been developed regarding the inclusion of persons with disability in higher education, which can be able to determine the gaps that exist and how they can be addressed. The aspects of this topic that this paper will discuss inclusion and how it is different for people living with a disability, and the sociological approaches which lead to different perspectives. This paper will also focus on the prevailing practices of inclusion in higher education and relevant empirical studies to better understand the influence of current policies on the inclusion of people with a physical disability.

• In the conceptual framework, you should cover the following questions
1. Why the sociological perspective is more useful in higher education from the medical model, social model, and capability approach?
2. What is the difference between functional perspective and interactional perspectives? (you should elaborate based on my conceptual framework. In the framework, I have tried to differentiate the functional (Society) and interactional (Institution) perspectives
3. How the integration of the sociological perspectives can ask the question to understand the inclusion issues in higher education?
• Finally, you go at the conclusion part and rewrite a comprehensive conclusion of the whole paper.
Grammar, sentence structure, and the logical order with the whole paper should be correct.
Follow the APA 6th Edition style and correct the references if there are mistakes.

Body Systems Anatomy and Image Interpretation Case Study

Discuss the anatomical implications of, and the issues associated with, treating a prostate patient with a radical dose of radiotherapy. You should critically evaluate the influence of cancer on this body system and demonstrate knowledge of the anatomy involved, organs at risk, routes of spread as well as a basic understanding of the implications of radiotherapy practice and delivery to this anatomical site.

To assess completion of the module you will need to demonstrate you have met the Learning Outcomes which are:

Learning outcomes 1,2 & 4 of this module will be assessed through the submission of a written case study.

1.Define and accurately apply terminology that is fundamental to anatomy, physiology and radiotherapy practice.

2.Describe the features and functions of major anatomical organs and structures and body systems.

4.Critically evaluate the influence of cancer on the major body systems, organs and structures in terms of anatomical position and function.

Engaging with the literature will assist in consolidating your learning over the course of the module.

You will need to conduct a literature search to locate and retrieve information to address the case study.

You will need to explain your search strategy within the case study. Keep this short and concise. You may wish to utilise tables and illustration etc. to demonstrate your search strategy possibly within an appendix.

You should refer to a number of good quality sources of literature within your assignment.

You must accurately reference all material you refer to in your assignment using the APA referencing system.

You should augment and demonstrate knowledge from clinical experience in your final submission.
