Corporate Governance

“The directors’ relationship with shareholders is different in kind from their relationship with the other stakeholder interests. This is not simply a technical point…to redefine the directors’ responsibilities in terms of stakeholders would mean identifying all the various stakeholder groups; and deciding the nature and extent of the directors responsibility to each. The result would be that the directors were not effectively accountable to anyone since there would be no clear yardstick for judging their performance. This is a recipe neither for good governance nor for corporate success”

(Hampel Report on Corporate Governance, 1998).

Your reading this week focuses on the background leading to calls for better corporate governance, as well as the theories that have formed the background to the development of corporate governance codes. Why does good corporate governance matter? What are the key characteristics of the five theories of the company set out in your materials? Which theory fits most closely with your understanding of what a company is? What are the different jurisdictions attempting to achieve with the various corporate governance codes? To what extent do they succeed in their objectives? Explain your answers with reference to practical examples from your own experience or observation wherever possible.

Three Annotated Bibliographies

I need three annotated bibliographies. The topic you should focus on when looking for sources is the apololypse or apocalyptic thought. The bibliographies are for a research paper at the end of the semester, so try to relate them and the sources to the topic. The paper will be focused on the way people imagine the end of the world and how they picture themselves in it, including the fact that they seem to have a sort of godlike control over the entire situation.I need three annotated bibliographies. Assignment 1: Climate Analysis
Using the application Climate Consultant, analyze climate data for a particular location in preparation for building design.

Download the application Climate Consultant. http://www.energy-design-tools.aud.ucla.edu/climate-consultant/request-climate-consultant.php
Launch the application and follow the instructions for downloading the climate dataset for the UAE.
Browse the “features” and “Instructions” pages to familiarize yourself with what the application can do.
Select the ASHRAE Standard 55 comfort model.
Accept the remaining defaults.
Review the data and analyze it by characterizing the following climate factors in a temporal context.

Dry bulb and wet bulb temperatures and/or relative humidity
Daylighting and cloud cover
Wind
Sun
Play with the controls, in particular “animation” when available, to understand the dynamics of each factor. Write a summary for each of the four factors above that captures the phenomenon.

Evaluation: Each factor is worth 4 points:

4 = very clear and complete summary that includes 1) daily differences, 2) seasonal differences, 3) reference to all measures, and 4) range of variability.
3 = complete but less clear, or missing one of the four measures noted above.
2 = unclear summaries lacking in more than one measure.
1 = a combination of unclear, unorganized, and/or incomplete summaries.
0 = no submission

International Business, Analytical Report, Consulting a Luxury Confectionary Company

Hello, hope you are well?
Attached: I have the brief given to us and the 2nd document is my ideas of possible recommendations?
The research conducted was done with my group and now we have to write an individual analytical business report on what we recommend to LAB10 (the company).
The teacher puts emphasis on ‘analytical’!
Unfortunately, I did not write all the sources to go with the figures in my findings which is a problem for now writing it up. Meaning might have to find new data to match the information as data should be referenced.
I also unfortunately did very badly in the previous assignment and need to do really well on this one to pass the module.
Thank you in advance, let me know if anything is unclear.
Happy writing.

Elementary Mathematics

As a requirement for this course, each student must read and critique two journal articles dealing with elementary school education in any area of mathematics. The article must be dated 2014 or later. The article critique must be at least one and a half, typed, double-spaced page (regular margins). You must attach a copy of the article to the critique. Include your name, course title/section number, and date on the top right corner of the page. You must then cite the article in the latest APA format. Following the bibliographic citation, you must provide a complete summary of the article. Label this section “SUMMARY.” In this section, give a complete overview of the article including subjects, research problems, review of previous literature, methodology, conclusions, discussions, and/or future recommendations. Then provide a critique of the article. Label this section “CRITIQUE.” In this section, give an evaluation of the article. The critique should include the following questions, but do not limit the information to the following questions. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the research? How do you feel about the quality of the research? How do you feel about the research in general? Do you agree with the method, findings, and/or conclusions? Why or why not? What insights can you offer the author(s)? Will reading this article affect you as a teacher/counselor? If so, how? What are the implications of the article? What is your feeling on the general concept of the article?
