The Director of the Asia Division has just tasked with determining the best line of cosmetic products to be used in the initial launch a year from now and the best location for sustainable and organic ingredients. The group leader has asked each member of your group to identify the following:
• The product(s) (i.e. lipstick, foundation, eyeliner, etc.) that would be best for the initial launch based on market analysis
• The potential percentage of net profit of the above products based on industry average for each product
• Identify and discuss the cosmetic companies that successfully provide these products that are sustainable and organic
• Identify the best location to source the organic materials for your ingredients. The group leader has asked everyone to research where current cosmetic companies are sourcing the materials and provide an explanation as to why the identified location would be the best source for the ingredients.

• For India provide a breakdown of the cultural considerations the new director will need to take into account when relocating and bringing on a staff made up of local nationals.
• Discuss whether the director should consider sourcing leaders from other divisions and taking them to the new location or focus on hiring local nationals as line managers, shift supervisors, and senior leaders
• Based on best practices and analysis of current cosmetic companies, how would the director best structure the team? Indicate how senior leadership will be divided (i.e. Assistant Division Director (ADD) of Operations, ADD Finance, ADD Marketing, ADD Sales, etc.) as well as the structure below them. Consider how Operations is divided. There will be Procurement of materials; manufacturing, distribution, etc. Finance will have to consider the different accounting processes such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts payable, and others. Marketing will focus on U.S. based marketing and global marketing and sales will need the same type of considerations. Do not just use these exact examples, but use these as a starting point and guide for your research.

Behavioral Explanations of Learning
Possibilities and Cautions in Applying Behavioral Theories

Part 1: Intriguing/impactful ideas
Describe two pieces of important information (e.g., a fact, concept, theory, idea, or approach) that you learned from the week’s readings, and intrigued you or impacted your thinking about teaching and learning the most. First, clearly define or identify what these facts, ideas, concepts, theories or approaches are; and then explain why they are the most intriguing or most impactful for you, as you relate them to your own learning and teaching experience.

Part 2: Takeaway points
Create a bulleted list of at least eight items that would be your take-away from the week’s reading. These items should have practical implications for your teaching practice.

Grading Rubric:
Excellent (5 points)
The paper is free from grammatical errors, uses standard English, and clear to the reader.
Intriguing or impactful ideas or concepts are clearly described with reference to the reading.
The significance of selected ideas or concepts is clearly explained with strong examples as it relates to your prior experience as a student and/or teacher; or as it relates to a conceptual change in your mind.
The points have practical implications.
The points are distinct (not repetitive).
The points are expressed with own words (not copied from the text).

Listen to the songs for this week and think of them in comparison to the songs from 1982-1989 (Run-D.M.C. to Public Enemy). How did the sound of hip hop change with Native Tongues from the previous era?

Discussion Section Questions:

1) In McLeod and DiCola’s chapter they talk about the golden age of sampling (1987-1992), a period where most of this week’s assigned songs come from. Since this was a time when hip hop music producers made music before thinking about lawsuits and sample clearance, why do you think this allowed De La Soul, Tribe, Jungle Brothers, etc. to have more creative freedom; or how would their music be different? Do you think this creative freedom helped advance production technique (i.e. how producers learned to manipulate the digital sampling technology)? Based on what you read in this chapter, is sample clearance about money, artistic control, or both?

2) Listen to the songs for this week and think of them in comparison to the songs from 1982-1989 (Run-D.M.C. to Public Enemy). How did the sound of hip hop change with Native Tongues from the previous era? What types of records/sounds were the Native Tongues’ producers seeking out and why would they deviate from the using Ultimate Breaks and Beats and James Brown records, as well as drum machines as source materials (hint: think about the prioritization of having a unique style and being different in hip hop)?

Share a time when you have worked with someone from a different societal cluster. If you have not had the opportunity to do so, discuss how you believe that this interaction might materialize if you are in the position of leadership over this person.

Also reply to breeanna discussion below:
I have worked so many different types of people. Different ages, different background, different cultures, etc. I have had the opportunity to work at my airport for almost two years and by doing so I had the opportunity to meet so many different kinds of people. An example is I worked with several women from Iraq. I can work with basically all types of people and get along well with everyone, and to become a leader in the future I think this is an important aspect.

Ethical Dilemmas Faced in Content Marketing

Review the blog post “7 Ethical Dilemmas Faced in Content Marketing

(Links to an external site.)Links to an external site:
http://blog.socialcontentmarketing.com/7-ethical-dilemmas-faced-in-social-media-marketing/

and answer the 3 parts below in about 500 words following the attached rubric.

Part I Response: Other Ethical Issues. In addition to the seven deadly ethical sins mentioned in the blog and below, identify and discuss another ethical dilemma that arises from the use of content marketing.

Part II Response: Behavioral Tracking. A questionable area to consider when evaluating social media ethics is the role of behavioral targeting. Imagine advertisers tracking where you shop and browse from “click-through” behaviors and time spent on various websites. The Federal Trade Commission is currently considering “Do Not Track” regulations. i.e., They may impose a requirement for advertisers to permit a “turn off the tracking switch” or at least disclose their monitoring activities.

Debate from an ethical perspective whether advertisers should have to disclose their tracking intentions or even permit the observed to turn off tracking. Argue this from the standpoint of why ethical guidelines are enforced.

Part III Response: Native Advertising. Argue your case for whether native advertising should be considered ethical.

Here is the Criteria,
Criteria

Demonstrates an understanding of why ethical guidelines are enforced
Demonstrates knowledge of ethical concerns in content marketing
The identified ethical dilemma raises valid concerns for content marketer behavior
The identified dilemma is relevant to today’s consumption of content
Demonstrates knowledge of behavioral targeting
Demonstrates knowledge of ethical issues behind undisclosed tracking
Argues rationally the case for or against disclosure of tracking intentions
Demonstrates knowledge of native advertising ethical concerns
Adequately argues a case for or against scrutiny of native advertising
Overall rationale is well understood, comprehensive and persuasive

Clinical Field

Allocate at least 3 hours in the field to support this field experience.
Spend time observing at least one content area classroom that services ELLs in a Title 1 setting. Let your mentors know that you are observing the implementation of SEI strategies.
Use any remaining field experience hours to assist the mentor teacher in providing instruction and support to the class.
Complete the “Adapted Lesson Plan Worksheet” based on what you observed in a content area classroom. If SEI strategies are not utilized, complete the worksheet by describing how the teaching strategies that you observed could be adapted to better meet the learning needs of ELLs.
APA style is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

Most of the language of the poem is straightforward. look up any words you aren’t familiar with. Pick out a few phrases you reacted to, those with especially effective or interesting dictation, and be prepared to explain why they struck you.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU START!!

1.REQUEST:
Choose one of the “reflecting on what you’ve read” questions after your poem and respond to it.
At this point, you should be writing DB Posts that are 3-4 paragraphs long and use details, examples, quotes from the text.
Remember that you want to say something original about the poem, in your own words, so reading the posts of classmates who posted before you IS NOT a good idea–it could cause you to repeat their ideas and earn a lower grade or even a zero for “borrowing.”

PROMPT: Using one the episodes of 30 Days
and the chapter/outline on Rogerian Argument as
models, write an essay exploring your chosen topic. In your essay, you should objectively investigate both sides of the issue, using quotations and examples from the episode you watched. You should also articulate any common ground that the participants of the episode
reached (or if they didn’t reach common ground, areas where there were clear missed opportunities). Your thesis should state an argument that is not necessarily “sided,” but rather one that proposes a solution or a place of compromise given the two opposing sides.
This essay must demonstrate Rogerian elements; be sure to include:

•The problem (provide a brief explanation in the introduction) and an overall goal
that the two opposing sides might have (your main argument and thesis).
•A neutral and in-depth explanation of the first position including support/evidence,
and description of the context in which it is indeed valid.
•A neutral and in-depth explanation of the second
position, including
support/evidence, and description of the context in which it is valid.
•An analysis of the “common ground” of the two positions (as seen in the episode, or
places you feel that compromise could be reached)
•A conclusion Note: each of the above bullet points
is a section of the paper and may require more than
one paragraph. However, the bullet points above provide a general way to outline your
essay. That is, in your essay, the first few body paragraphs should be all about one side [neutrally] and the second set of body paragraphs relate to the other side [neutrally]. Then, your last (set of) body paragraph(s) can discuss the common ground.

Developing an Advocacy Campaign

Developing an Advocacy Campaign
The following application, Part 2, will be due in Week 7.
To prepare:
• Review Chapter 3 of Health policy and politics: A nurse’s guide.
• In the first assignment, you reflected on whether the policy you would like to promote could best be achieved through the development of new legislation, or a change in an existing law or regulation. Refine as necessary using any feedback from your first paper.
• Contemplate how existing laws or regulations may affect how you proceed in advocating for your proposed policy.
• Consider how you could influence legislators or other policymakers to enact the policy you propose.
• Think about the obstacles of the legislative process that may prevent your proposed policy from being implemented as intended.
To complete:
Part Two will have approximately 3–4 pages of content plus a title page and references. Part Two will address the following:
• Explain whether your proposed policy could be enacted through a modification of existing law or regulation or the creation of new legislation/regulation.
• Explain how existing laws or regulations could affect your advocacy efforts. Be sure to cite and reference the laws and regulations using primary sources.
• Provide an analysis of the methods you could use to influence legislators or other policymakers to support your policy. In particular, explain how you would use the “three legs” of lobbying in your advocacy efforts.
o Summarize obstacles that could arise in the legislative process and how to overcome these hurdles.
