Your first post should focus on two artifacts or advancements and the general atmosphere of a chapter or live event. It can also be a cultural analysis of an event on or off campus such as an art, architectural or photographic exhibition, live vocal or musical concert, design studio, live theatre or dance performance, poetry reading, recital, etc. You must discuss 1(one) visual composition such as an architectural composition, a painting, drawing, or sculpture, and 1(one) musical composition or instrument, or innovation, or philosophical idea. In addition, you must answer these questions in your post. 1) How and why were these artifacts or advancements important to the period or event you selected? 2) What was the atmosphere or mood of the period chosen? Or, what were your impressions of the event?

This assignment will require students to
conduct a thorough review of the professional literature and prepare a comprehensive paper based on identifying, researching, and discussing a current health behavior issue. This paper is designed to facilitate students’ comprehension of methodologies that impact health behavior change. Length: 10 double-spaced typed pages using 12 point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins all around. Provide sub-headings for each section (e.g., introduction, main points, etc.). Include the following:
a. Health Behavior Introduction. Define and describe the health behavior. Discuss the health behavior’s significance to public health. Discuss how this health behavior is relevant to this health behavior course. State what the overall paper will focus on, including your original thoughts regarding the utility and application of the theories/models to the health behavior. Briefly outline the main points in your paper.
b. Main Points
i. Health Behavior Background. Discuss the ways in which this health behavior significantly affects the health status in a particular group of people (e.g. low socioeconomic status, specific racial/ethnic groups, people with disabilities, elderly, children, etc.). Discuss the determinants of health for this health behavior. Provide clear and well supported evidence.
ii. Health Behavior Theories and Models. Choose at least two of the following health behavior theories/models:
The Health Belief Model, The Transtheoretical Model, The Theory of Reasoned Action; The Theory of Planned Behavior; The Precaution Adoption Process Model, and the Social
Cognitive Theory.
1. Briefly describe and compare each of your chosen theories and/or models including any constructs.
2. Briefly explain how each of your chosen theories and/or models are relevant and applicable to the health behavior.
iii. Health Behavior Theory/Model Research Application. Research the professional literature (i.e., scientific and peer-reviewed journal articles) to determine how researchers have applied health behavior theories or models to explain, predict, or modify (i.e., develop interventions) this health behavior. Pick two different evidence-based research studies from the scientific and peer-reviewed journals and explain how each research study successfully applied a health behavior theory and/or
model to address this health behavior. Do not apply the theory yourselves; summarize the findings of each research study and discuss how the researchers (for each study) utilized interventions or treatments to modify the behavior.
c. Conclusion and Recommendations for Further Study. Briefly summarize the main points discussed in the body of your paper. Discuss where additional research is needed – – Make clear, tangible, evidence-based recommendations about future studies that are needed.
d. Reference Page. You are required to have at least 8 professional references cited using the APA Style Manual. Your references must not be from general websites or the popular press or from class lectures or personal communication. You may use the textbook for a brief definition only. You may also use professional organizations, such as the WHO, CDC, NIH, etc. for some of the statistics related to the significance of the issue and description of the population. At least (2) of these references need to be from journal articles published in peer-reviewed journals that may be accessed via the Internet.

Short essay of around 300-400 words. Notice that this question have no real “right or wrong” answers per se. Instead, you need to react to the question, using factual material from the textbook and any other relevant sources obtainable. Try to be specific but succinct in your essays.
It is imperative that you not simply “copy” from your sources. Use your own thoughts and wording, but if you do quote or paraphrase, you must provide specific citations (page numbers, Websites, etc.). There must also be a full reference list at the end of the essays, of all sources used in the examination just like in our written papers.
The question covers the historical period from colonial times to the 1780s. Your answer needs to show a familiarity with the main events, personalities, and trends of these years. Always check for factual accuracy and correct historical context. Try to avoid writing about an event or an individual that might be “out of place” for the time or topic you are discussing. When using the textbook, all of the relevant material you need might not always be in the same place. You may have to pick examples from more than one page or even chapter. Purpose of this Assignment
Format
Structure
To show that you can use course theory and concepts to identify causes of so called “people” problems in organizations and to come up with practical solutions to fix the situation discussed in the case “The Team Member from Hell.”
The paper should contain 750 words, 12-point font, double line spacing. You will add a cover page showing your name and the name of your paper, and a reference page listing all sources cited in the paper. Cover and reference pages do not count against the word count.
• Section 1. A clear problem statement. This should be one sentence and is the foundation for the rest of the analysis. e.g., “The problem facing this team is ____”. Do not list the causes here, rather the effect of these causes: the problem.
• Section 2. Identification of the cause(s). It is your job to convince me that you have identified the true causes of the problem faced in the case by applying and citing theory and content from the course and quotes and examples from the case. Identify no more than 3 causes. For each concept you must:
o Define the theory/concept in a detailed enough way that it is clear you understand its distinctions and why it applies here.
o Persuade me that it fits this situation and helps you understand a true cause of the problem in the case.
o Support your arguments with research-based citations or paraphrases coming from external sources (the case is not considered a source).

o Present two possible solutions to the problem – which you

o Recommend one BEST solution (selected from the two you presented). Make sure this solution is feasible and specific. Discuss why you selected this solution, the positives and negatives about this solution, what will be required to implement it, and your desired outcome.

Leslie Marmon Silko’s Ceremony

This week students are asked to write on one aspect of “Old Betonie.” He’s a crucial character that (though he is vaguely referenced earlier), we don’t actually meet until Tayo stays with him until around page 153 old edition/142 new edition. He is very significant, but he is too complex and important a character to really handle in full in a single forum post, even if you end up writing far more than 500 words.

So choose one of the following three aspects of this character to focus on and analyze, as closely, as precisely, as originally, as possible:
1) Betonie’s Ancestry and Ethnicity (what his grandparents represent, what his relationships are with other Native Americans, etc. I invite you here to analyze the inset story of his grandfather Old Descheeny, and his grandmother, the unnamed Mexican Girl, though there are other ways to answer this question).
2) Betonie’s House (its location, description, what do the objects in it represent, etc. Work closely with the language here, and try to say something more specific than just the meeting of “old/new” or “white/indian”–what exactly helps us unlock the specific meanings of that cross-cultural meeting ground? A post that goes into depth about one detail here will usually be more successful than a Post that tries to cover everything, but there are multiple ways to do well)
3) Betonie’s Ceremony (including where he takes Tayo, how he treats him, what he tells him, etc. What new contribution can you make to our understanding of his sand painting, or of his helper, or some other specific, original idea?).
Construct an argument that offers an interpretation of one of those three aspects, or something even more specific within one of those three aspects, and be sure that your interpretation furthers our understanding of the symbolic work of the novel. Clearly title your post to reflect which option you chose. As always–use your imagination

Entrepreneurship
Earlier this this chapter I had the opportunity express my interest in Entrepreneurship and the baby steps I have taken this far.
It hasn’t been an easy choice to make since the competition is very wide not only locally but worldwide. Many may think the option of becoming a Wellness Coach is the easy way out of getting a “real job” per say or the easy way to take to be caller and entrepreneur. However, I strongly disagree with these arguments of society and I am here to tell you why…
When I first started this gig of mine, it was nothing more than me wanting to get back in shape after giving birth to my daughter. All my life I had struggle to maintaining a decent weight or at least what I had in mind of a decent weight. After meeting my sponsor following the program and holding myself accountable; I was able to achieve my goal! This inspire people around me and questions and inquiries arise. I quickly saw the potential this had, not only to make a difference in my family, friends and community but I also immediately saw the opportunity of extra financial income.
Entrepreneurship to me means more than business, it means freedom and the ability to make a difference somewhere somehow. Therefore, to me this has been the best thing that could have happened since I finally see what I had dreamed about as a young girl become reality. Today, I have been able to achieve financial freedom, have mission to wake for and many other things that by staying in the shadows wouldn’t have been possible.

Participant observation is a data collection tool that can be used to study behaviors in a natural
setting. For instance, researchers might use participant observation to investigate the dynamics
between employees in an organizational setting. Participant observations involve the researcher as
a participant in the environment that he/she is studying.
Students will carry out a participant observation of an employee on the job. Students will observe
the behaviors of their study subjects for a 15 to 30 minute period. Students are advised to choose a
relatively rich environment for this participant observation activity to allow for enough data
collection to complete the written assignment.
Examples of employees to observe:
Observe a front line employee engaged in a customer service job: a barista at Starbucks, a counter
person at a fast food restaurant, a checkout clerk in a grocery store, a service advisor in a car
dealership, a nurse in a doctor’s office, a sales associate in a department store, etc.
What is the purpose of your observation? What information will you gather about the employee’s
behavior that relates to customer service?
