In this assignment you will answer the following two questions:
1. In your own words, explain the five levels of Van Hiele model of Geometric thought. Focus specifically on what students can do. Make sure to explain WITH EXAMPLES what students can do at each level.

2. Four instructional considerations (i.e. things to consider during instruction) are provided, to help students move from Level 0 to Level 1. Choose one specific instructional consideration. Mention clearly which suggestion instructional consideration you chose. And, create an activity that aligns with the suggestion. Justify how you think this activity aligns with the instructional consideration.

Theoretical Foundations of Nursing Practice

 

                                                     Introduction

Comparing in today’s nursing, we wear multiple hats. Not only, we serve our patients but also we work with multiple disciples to help coordinate the care of our patients, manage a big load of patients with difficult healthcare needs, and we also help patients in the transition out of hospitals and into the home and/or other settings. But as Virginia Henderson will say, “The unique function of the nurse is to assist the individual, sick or well, in the performance of those activities contributing to health or its recovery (or to peaceful death) that he would perform unaided if he had the necessary strength, will or knowledge.”

As I reflect on one of these videos and on my nursing career, I cannot believe all of the experiences, opportunities, and growth I have been fortunate to have. I chose Virginia Henderson, as some people will call her the “First Lady of Nursing,” because throughout my years, I have been able to applied Henderson’s 14 activities to assist on my patient’s recovery. The 14 components of Virginia Henderson Theory display a holistic approach to nursing that covers the physiological, psychological, social and spiritual needs. Her theory put emphasis on helping patients become individuals again rather than completely relying on others for care, this helps increase the chance of patients caring for themselves once they leave the hospital.

Our National Parks have preserved a lot of cultural and natural history across the country. Since this is an Earth Science class, I thought that applying your soon-to-be expert knowledge of Earth Science to one of our beautiful National Parks would be a perfect way to learn how important and unique they are.
Your research will focus on the Earth Science spheres (geospheres, biospheres, hydroshpere, atmosphere) within your park and what is unique about them.If there is one in particular you would like to research, let me know. You may want to consider a park you’ve been to because you can bring in a personal aspect to the project.

especially any overlaps between them. It might be interesting to talk about current research going on in your park! Your research will be presented in two formats: a paper and a presentation.
The paper must have 1” margins and 12pt Times New Roman font with an ideal length of 3-5 pages (double-spaced). Legitimate scientific references must be cited (e.g., books, peer-reviewed papers, articles with credible authors, websites ending in “.edu” or “.gov”*); Wikipedia is not a legitimate resource, so don’t cite it! You can use the APA reference format, and include a ‘references cited’ page at the end.

Write a five-page paper, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12-point font, on one of the
following three questions:
1. Does the national government have too much power. Should more governing
responsibility be given to the states? Or, is the balance between the states and nation
about right? In your response, you may want to consider how federalism has developed
over time, the theoretical reasons for having states in the first place, and/or contemporary
examples where the relationship between the states and nation are appropriate or
imbalanced.
2. Is Publius’ project of creating an extended, large republic still a success? Does the United
States have a system that contains the worst excesses of factionalism, or does
factionalism run rampant and threaten self-governance? What, if anything, did the AntiFederalists
get right in their critique of the Federalists’ design?
3. Thomas Jefferson argued: “No society can make a perpetual constitution, or even a
perpetual law. The earth belongs always to the living generation. Every constitution
then, and even every law, naturally expires at the end of 19 years.” Would it be a good
idea to reconsider and perhaps re-write the American Constitution every 19 years or so,
as Thomas Jefferson suggested? If so, why? If not, why not?
The paper is due on Friday, October 5th at 5:00 p.m. You must submit your assignment via
Collab. TAs may request hard copies. Your grade will be reduced by two points every day (1/3
letter grade) that your paper is late (Sundays are free.) You are responsible for saving your work
and backing up your files. Computer failures are not warranted excuses in this age of USB
devices, external hard drives, the Cloud, and Dropbox (free!). Include both your last name and

“Fred’s Miracle Cough Syrup.” While his cough syrup is homeopathic, one of the key ingredients causes a severe reaction when taken in conjunction with aspirin.
Fred plans to make and bottle his cough syrup in an outbuilding on the family farm. His son, Sam, has been raving to the locals about his father’s cough syrup for
years, and the local drug store and grocer have contacted Fred to place orders as a result. Sam also intends to approach several national chains in an effort to
secure supply contracts for Fred’s cough syrup. Fred has asked Sam to assist him with deliveries, as Sam has a van. Fred would like Sam to be involved with the
business as an employee initially, with the option of making him a partial owner at a later time. Fred and his wife Sally have two children, Sam and Lilly. Both live
in cabins on the family farm with their spouses and children. Fred and Sally engage you as their attorney to assist with the formation of the new business,
including determining the appropriate business entity type, management issues, product liability issues, and estate planning for both the business and family
property. After your initial meeting, you identify and research the following issues.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Describe the main types of business entities and their defining characteristics.
II. Apply product liability law and determine what issues are present. How would you advise your client to mitigate those issues?
III. Apply the elements and characteristics of an agency relationship to Sam’s actions. Does Sam’s involvement prior to the business formation, as well as
