You will accomplish this by beginning your research of the week six documents and begin drafting your second short essay. There is no discussion board for this week. Please read the associated chapters listed in the course syllabus and also complete your reading of the Jacksonian Reader (Week seven course content) for next week’s discussion. Your Task: For this short essay you will select one of the historical documents from the week six content folder and develop a two to three page thesis driven essay that accomplishes the following: 1) Identifies the author’s perspective regarding the challenges facing the young republic and how best to resolve these issues. 2) Explores how this document provides insight to the political and/ or social issues within the first decades of America as an independent nation. 3) Explain your own evaluation of the author’s point of view and whether or not this was historically an effective measure to preserve democracy in our nation or presented a risky alternative that might have challenged the unity of the country and/ or the rights of its citizens.
