Consider the recovery efforts AFTER a cyber attack. Write a five page APA paper addressing the following questions; each question should be approximately one page of response. The entire assessment is worth 250 points.

Base your answers on a specific case or scenario. You may either use the cyber security tabletop exercise we have been following, OR you may also draw upon other real world cyber attacks (for example such as the Anthem healthcare data breach of 2015, JP Morgan Chase banking attack in July – August 2014, or Target retail stores data breach of December 2013).

It is necessary to provide at least 3 external resources as part of your short essay responses. Please include a properly formatted APA references page. A good resource for research is the Gale Global Issues database.

Make sure you address the full range of impact of your chosen cyber attack. A successful submission will address all of the following:

Which case did you choose? Summarize the pertinent details of the attack.
How do you communicate what happened? What steps are being taken? Who is your audience? What messages should be communicated in this response plan?
How do you clean up our image to our internal and external audiences after a situation like this? How do we regain their trust? Provide at least a specific examples and recommendation for the future.
Internally, how can we retain our employees? How can we reassure them if there are layoffs and the company has experienced significant financial losses?
Externally, how should we go about regaining our customers’ confidence? How can we get those who may have left us to come back? How does this impact new business in the future?
How did previous prevention methods fall short? What types of training programs could we implement to ensure all of our people are better prepared? What other recovery steps should be adopted to prevent future attacks?
