Answer all the questions below in essay format

Go to the Chris Houston’s video and listen to him talk about the relationship between purpose, brand and culture . You can also go to the telosity.net and click on videos to learn more about the panarchy principle and other concepts in the For Goodness’ Sake book. How is the perspective of stakeholders embodied in the model described by Houston? Describe how competing interests influence the telos of the firm and how does that lead to reconciling of the brand with the culture of the firm. Based on Houston’s discussion what skills and mindset do you believe are important for socially responsible leadership.
Go to the video clips for Milton Friedman and then for Charles Handy and compare and contrast their views on CSR. You may want to do a table with Friedman’s views on one side and Handy’s views on the other side. You should find at least two different views on CSR for each scholar. Note that you should be able to use a stakeholder perspective, sustainable value creation or competing interests in your list.
Why is profit optimization a more useful focus for firms than profit maximization? What are the major challenges to the concept of profit optimization? Provide examples of firms that currently appear to practice profit optimization strategies and explain how they are accomplishing this.
