Learning Goals This task will allow you to:

• Use historical terms and concepts to sequence events and developments in the 20th century including struggles for human rights and freedoms.

• Identify and analyse the differing perspectives of people from the past.

• Construct a written argument using essay structure that processes, synthesises and evaluates evidence from a range primary and secondary sources that are acknowledged.

THE TASK
Select ONE topic from below:

1. Evaluate the significance of the media, print, radio, television and internet, in helping Indigenous Australians achieve rights and freedoms.

OR

2. Outline the ways in which people have demanded and achieved human rights. In your response, refer to the methods used by Indigenous Australians.

• Research should be completed from at least 3 textbooks (you may include the class textbook).
• Evidence must be referenced using the Harvard system.
• A correctly formatted bibliography must be included (you may use the electronic one from Daranet).
