This is a history paper revolved around music. I need in depth analysis and its a research paper so a good research question. Feminism and Rock music is the topic I picked. So maybe the question can have to do with gender equality in the time period of 1960s to 1980s. How rock music started the movement to equality. Beatles can be an example such as it sparked sex revolution, also double standards and etc.
This course will culminate in the production of a research project of 3000 words (c. 12 pages double-spaced, not counting citations and bibliography). Your final project must be a rigorous, in-depth analysis of a historical question built around some aspect of music. It must consult at least 4 secondary sources (preferably scholarly ones) and 8 primary sources (this should include songs but can also include contemporary press accounts, interviews, autobiographies, film, etc.). The time frame is the 1950s through the 1980s.
