Go to the following website for Toys ‘R’ Us: www.toysrus.com  (If Toys R Us is blocked try other toy stores online)

 

Once you are there, you will find toys categorized by age appropriateness to the left of the page. Here’s what you are to do:

 

1. You will create a word document with one page for each of Jean Piaget’s four stages of cognitive development.
2. Browse the Toys ‘R’ Us website looking for age appropriate toys that, in your opinion, help to develop a child’s cognitive abilities as outlined by Piaget.
3. On each page, you need to have the image of the toy and a description (in your own words!) of how the toy works. On that same page, you need to explain how the toy fulfills the needs outlined by Piaget. Make sure to use specific vocabulary terms from Piaget’s theory—you are being graded based upon your understanding of his theory.
