Goal: To use published journal sources for investigating a current societal issue, affecting the socialization on children in our community.

Choose a topic: The topics are available in “discussion board paper #2”. Please go to your discussion board tab to view the instructions. Each topic can only be covered by two students and will be continually updated by your instructor. Students who do not choose a topic, or do not write on the topic they choose will loose points on their paper.
Write your paper – Directions:
Locate at least 3 research articles in an academic journal which relates to your topic (see Journal Research directionsPreview the document).The articles you use must be published in an academic journal, which means you will not be able to simply “Google” or “Yahoo” it. After you have selected the perfect articles, download and save these articles in your computer files. Read each article carefully.
Summarize the information you found including:
a. Why was this societal issue of concern to you? (Paragraph 1)
b. What are the four most interesting facts reported? What how was each of these facts
supported by evidence? Paragraphs 2-5) Note: There are only 4 questions here but the second question should be answered with 4 separate paragraphs (one fact for each paragraph).
c. How could this issue affect child care, school, and/or teaching? (Paragraph 6)
d. What are some possible ways that the child involved with this issue could be
supported by child care, school, and/or teaching? (Paragraph 7)
*Note: Your paper should be formatted with seven paragraphs total. (One paragraph each for questions a,c,d and 4 paragraphs for question
Reference the articles using APA format, remembering to cite the article(s) as support for each fact
you found.
Please type your paper with 1” margins, using a 12 pt. Times New Roman font, 2.0 line spacing and
APA format.
