Course: October Blogs of Critiques of the Internet, Technology & Social Media
Description: Widespread use of technology, including smart devices, social media and other Web 2.0 applications, changes the way we make decisions, communicate, and interact with colleagues, instructors, peers, and others. Technology, as it evolves and becomes ubiquitous across society, continues to contribute to or amplify existing social and legal issues that demand critical examination and reflection.
Instructions: Write a Blog in length from ½ to ¾ pages of text (roughly 250-300 words, single space). Identify both sides to the issue. Cite references not required since this is a blog of (my) opinion which I have stated below.
Required readings: Textbook (see Mediafire link to download) and see links of information below.

Opinion: I remember when my siblings bought vinyl records and my cousins, and I bought cassette tapes and CDs, and made their own playlists and shared them. Napster came and changed the way music is shared. Music is downloaded with a fee, and shared by social media…a lot has changed since the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s.
2). Blog – Readings from Chapter 5, Crime & Security
Topic of Blog: Crime & Security: Stealing Identities

Opinion: Protecting your identity from thieves seems to be a full-time job. There are so many schemes out there (list some) to rip off your identity. You must protect yourself and your family (list some things to do).
