PROMPT: The Power and Limits of Storyteling

Interrogate the power of storytelling in the novel, What is the What, as a means of connecting with others and of effecting change. What do you think is the effectiveness and / or limites of a story, such as Valentino’s? Consider the ways in which Valentino demonstrates his belief in the power of storytelling as well as the impact of his stories on others. Support your ideas with specific examples from the novel.
