Principlism

In Principles of Biomedical Ethics (6th ed.), Beauchamp and Childress state that no ethical principle outweighs or “trumps” another. Yet one principle or another often comes through as the “trump” principle in an article—at least in some situations. Describe a situation in your experience in which any of the principles trumped another. If you have not experienced a situation or cannot recall a time when this occurred, identify a case study either from your text or from another book or article you have read in which principles can be applied. Use the case study for your response.
