Students will select two states and any one federal policy of licensure to analyze. The state policies should be social work. This federal policy is recommended to be related to social work licensure but may be a related field of practice Note: Think Counseling, Psychology, etc). Following the guidelines discussed in their required texts, students will complete a policy analysis of their selected policies. The questions and information from the Social Problem Description paper should be included in the analysis.
The paper should be written in APA style and be 8-10 pages in length double spaced. It should integrate information from the texts and at least 5-7 current (no less than 3-years old) evidenced based journal articles. It should integrate at least one piece of policy advocacy (a public testimony presented to a legislative committee, or an informational sheet to a legislator).
