SMART goals are not random goals. There is a 5 step process which needs to be included for every goal (actually, a 6-step, if you add in how your Strengths will help you achieve this goal).
Here is what I am looking for:
• 3 personal/professional goals to be outlined (try to focus on career preparation or career advancement, etc)
• Each of these goals needs to address the SMART acronym (in other words it needs to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-based). You must address each of these elements individually and how it will be accomplished. That is the very essence of SMART goals (as opposed to simply writing out goals).
• Then based on your strengths from your StrengthsFinders assessment, add another S (SMARTS) and focus on how you will use one or more of your strengths to attain this goal.
The SMART Goal link has a Questionnaire at the end. You should follow that format!
